Fishing Tournament
Annual Youth Fishing Tournament… Anglers can plan to cast their lines for the annual tournament to take place at Summerfield Lake from 8:30am to noon. Children ages 5 to 15 are invited to enter, whether you’re an experienced angler or interested in learning the sport. Our very own Angler’s Club will once again be on hand to give each participant guidance and provide a loaner rod if needed. The cost to register is $5 per entry and includes an event T-shirt, a barbequed lunch by our local Kiwanis Group and a cooler bag from our friends at the Lakewood Ranch Pulmonary Associates. Parents can purchase a lunch for $3. The format is catch and release, personal tackle is encouraged, night crawlers will be provided and only one rod per angler. All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a parent. Awards for each age group will be presented. Don’t delay; registration is limited to the first 125 entrants.
