The Lakewood Ranch Digital Photography Club promotes growth in members’ appreciation and skill in taking and making digital photographs. A typical meeting includes a guest speaker, an educational session on post-production software or camera functions, a member photo contest and a share-your-work slide show. In addition to our meetings, we hold field trips at least once a month to area photographic locales that align with a chosen theme (Nature, Macro, Reflections, Interiors, etc.) which culminate at a local eatery.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We have monthly meetings where a presentation is given about some aspect of digital photography; we show our photos and discuss them with a focus on improvement.

Education of the membership is the main goal of the club as well as increasing the artistic and technical skills of the membership.

The club sponsors day field trips to help members understand their cameras and improve their photographic results.

Meeting discussions include cameras and related hardware, software and techniques for better picture taking.

Discussions also cover computer subjects associated with photography.

Members also mentor other members on particular areas of interest.

Annual dues are $20 for singles and $28 for married couples. Guest can try us on for size for a time or two.  Beginners and professionals welcome.
